A wall-mounted supermarket freezer and cooler in one unit, the TEFCOLD MTF185 keeps chilled and frozen goods visible while occupying minimal floor space. The appliance uses a refrigeration cycle that circulates R290 refrigerant to remove heat from the interior. A compressor draws the refrigerant vapour, compresses it to raise its pressure and temperature, then condenses it back to liquid in an air-cooled coil. The liquid passes through an expansion valve, dropping its pressure and temperature before entering the evaporator inside the cabinet. There it absorbs heat from the stored products, cooling the air and returning to vapour to begin the cycle again. This closed-loop process maintains the set temperature range without depleting the refrigerant charge.

The operator loads products onto a fixed base shelf and two adjustable wire shelves that can be tilted forward for easier access. Three hinged doors swing open to reveal the illuminated interior; LED lighting draws minimal power and produces little heat, so it does not interfere with the cooling performance. The doors close automatically to preserve the internal temperature.

Construction is a welded frame of powder-coated steel with an inner liner of food-safe aluminium. The refrigeration circuit is sealed and charged with 135 g of R290, a hydrocarbon refrigerant chosen for its low environmental impact. Side-to-centre ventilation allows the unit to be placed in a niche or against a wall without blocking airflow, so the compressor and condenser can reject heat efficiently.

Controls are mounted on a panel at the top of the cabinet. A digital thermostat sets the desired temperature within the two available ranges: -24 to -18 °C for frozen goods or -1 to +8 °C for chilled items. The display shows the current temperature and any active alarms. A defrost cycle can be initiated manually when needed.

The 1.057 kW power rating indicates the electrical load the unit draws from a 220-240 V, 50 Hz circuit. This load is typical for a medium-sized commercial refrigeration appliance and should be factored into the kitchen's total power demand. The 545 L volume provides ample display space for packaged goods in a retail setting, while the 1850 × 745 × 2430 mm footprint allows installation in narrow aisles or against walls. The 272 kg weight requires two people or a trolley to move the unit into position.

Cleaning involves wiping the interior surfaces with a mild detergent solution and rinsing with clean water. The wire shelves and base shelf can be removed for thorough cleaning. The condenser coil should be vacuumed periodically to remove dust that would reduce cooling efficiency. The LED lighting does not require replacement under normal use.

Two colour options are available: white (article MTF185) or black (article MTF185B). The unit can be combined with a matching freezer or refrigerator chest to create a continuous display line, maximising the use of available floor space in small shops or supermarkets.
