Showcases for meat products HAWANA 1580 mm
A refrigerated showcase keeps meat products chilled while displaying them to customers. The unit circulates cold air around the storage chamber, drawing heat out of the food and expelling it at the rear. Gravity cooling relies on natural convection: cold air sinks, displacing warmer air upwards, creating a gentle loop. Forced cooling uses a fan to push cold air through the chamber, achieving lower temperatures and faster pull-down times. Both methods maintain consistent humidity, preventing meat from drying out under the lights.
The operator loads the meat onto the stainless steel shelves inside the curved front glass. A socket under the worktop powers the internal lighting, while heaters beneath the glass and worktop prevent condensation from forming on the surfaces. The evaporator, fitted with its own heater, ensures frost does not build up in the corners of the storage chamber. The temperature is set using the control panel, selecting either the gravity range of +2 to +8 °C or the forced range of 0 to +6 °C, depending on the version installed.
The showcase measures 1580 mm wide, 1150 mm deep and 1250 mm high, taking a defined space on the shop floor. The front is powder-coated steel, the sides are ABS, and a chrome bumper protects the base. The worktop and storage chamber are stainless steel, except for the corners, which are designed to avoid sharp edges and simplify cleaning. The unit weighs 180 kg, requiring a trolley or two people to move it into position.
A temperature range of +2 to +8 °C suits fresh meat that does not require freezing, while 0 to +6 °C accommodates products that need to stay closer to the freezing point without actually freezing. The refrigerant R290 is a hydrocarbon with low global warming potential, used in systems designed for efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel worktop and storage chamber daily to remove meat juices and spills. The curved front glass is cleaned with a soft cloth to avoid scratches, and the chrome bumper is polished to maintain its appearance. The evaporator heater prevents frost, but the chamber should be emptied and defrosted periodically if ice does accumulate. The ABS sides are wiped down with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasive cleaners that could damage the surface.
Two versions are available: gravity cooling (G) for a quieter operation with slightly higher temperatures, and forced cooling (W) for lower temperatures and faster chilling. The showcase is placed in the refrigeration section of the catalogue, under meat display equipment.
