Temperature mode +2/ +10 °C
A bottle cooler keeps drinks at serving temperature without freezing them, using a fan to circulate cold air evenly behind the glass door. The fan draws air over an evaporator coil chilled by refrigerant, then pushes it across every shelf so that every can or bottle chills at the same rate. This method prevents hot spots and keeps the interior temperature steady between +2 °C and +10 °C, which is cool enough to refresh but not so cold that labels peel or bottles sweat excessively.
To load the SCU1220, open the hinged glass door, slide the adjustable wire shelves to fit the height of the bottles or cans, and arrange the stock. The LED interior light switches on automatically, making it easy to read labels and check stock levels. Once the door is closed, the fan-assisted cooling cycle starts; there is no separate switch to press. The reversible door can be hinged on the left or right to suit the layout of the bar or café, and the adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors.
The cabinet is lined with white wire shelves measuring 498 mm by 405 mm, each capable of holding either 175 x 500 ml cans or 133 x 500 ml PET bottles. The total 190 L volume allows storage of up to 301 x 330 ml cans or 133 x 500 ml bottles at once. The exterior dimensions of 595 mm wide, 640 mm deep and 1315 mm high fit beneath most worktops or on a counter, while the 62 kg weight means two people can move it without a trolley.
Power is supplied at 220-240 V, 50 Hz, the standard single-phase circuit found in British commercial kitchens. The 0.229 kW rating indicates a modest load that can share a circuit with other low-power appliances. The refrigerant is R600a, a hydrocarbon with a low global-warming potential, charged at 50 g.
Cleaning involves wiping the glass door with a damp cloth, removing the wire shelves to wash them in warm soapy water, and vacuuming the condenser coil at the rear every three months to maintain airflow. The reversible door hinge can be switched without tools, and the adjustable feet can be raised or lowered to keep the unit level on sloping floors.
