Refrigerator JOLA GASTRO. Temperature range +1ºC/+10ºC
A refrigerated cabinet keeps perishable food at a steady chill without freezing. Inside, a compressor circulates refrigerant through evaporator coils; the refrigerant absorbs heat from the air and carries it away to a condenser, where the heat is released outside the unit. This cycle lowers the internal temperature to the set range and holds it there, slowing bacterial growth and extending shelf life for fresh ingredients, prepared dishes and chilled beverages.
The operator loads food onto the five adjustable shelves, setting each shelf at the height and angle needed for the items. Once the door is closed, the automatic defrosting system periodically melts any frost that forms on the evaporator, draining the water away without manual intervention. The temperature control keeps the cabinet between +1 °C and +10 °C, allowing safe storage of dairy, meats, salads and desserts that must stay chilled but not frozen.
The cabinet is built with a stainless-steel exterior and interior, providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface that resists corrosion and stands up to daily use in a busy kitchen. The unit runs on a 230 V, 50 Hz supply, matching the standard single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens. Its footprint of 700 mm width by 820 mm depth fits into a compact space while offering over 2 m of vertical storage, making it suitable for back-of-house areas where floor space is limited.
Shelves adjust in height and angle, allowing the operator to organise the interior for different container sizes or to create sloped displays if the cabinet is used near a service counter. The automatic defrosting system removes the need for manual defrosting, reducing labour and preventing ice build-up that can reduce cooling efficiency. The 5.0 kWh per 24 hours energy consumption reflects the load on the kitchen's electrical supply, indicating the unit's running cost over time.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless-steel surfaces with a mild detergent and warm water, removing any spills or residues. The adjustable shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the drain pan should be checked periodically to ensure proper water disposal from the defrost cycle.
The JOLA GASTRO is categorised as professional refrigeration equipment for food storage and display.
