Silicone molds form ice lollies by holding liquid mixtures in individual cavities while they freeze. The material conducts heat evenly, so the mixture sets uniformly without ice crystals forming at the edges. When the lollies are solid, the flexibility of silicone lets the operator peel the mold away without breaking the sticks or leaving residue. The same molds can also shape hot mixtures in an oven, where the silicone withstands the heat without warping or sticking, giving clean edges to baked goods or confectionery.
To use the molds, the operator pours the liquid into the cavities, ensuring each one is filled to the same level for consistent results. The molds sit on a flat tray or shelf in the freezer or oven, where the temperature is set within the working range. Once the mixture has set or baked, the operator flexes the mold to release the sticks one by one. The design includes 50 cavities, so a single batch produces 50 lollies of identical size and shape.
The molds are made from food-grade silicone, which remains stable across repeated heating and freezing cycles. The material is non-porous, so it does not absorb flavours or odours, and it resists staining from coloured mixtures. The edges of the molds are reinforced to prevent tearing when flexed, and the base is flat for stability during filling and transport.
Each mold measures 89 mm by 84 mm by 24 mm, a footprint that fits standard freezer shelves and oven trays without crowding. The four cavities each hold 0.098 litres, so the total volume per mold is small enough for quick freezing but large enough for commercial batches. The silicone can be folded or rolled for storage, saving space in cupboards or drawers when not in use.
The molds operate between -60 °C and +230 °C, covering the full range of professional freezing, refrigeration and baking processes. They are dishwasher-safe, so cleaning is done alongside other kitchen equipment without manual scrubbing. The molds are reusable, reducing waste compared to single-use alternatives, and their durability means they withstand daily use in a busy kitchen.
These molds are designed for professional catering environments, where consistency and efficiency are critical. They are compatible with standard freezers, blast chillers and convection ovens, and their compact size allows multiple molds to be processed at once.
