CP-2ET is a compact professional electric stainless steel pasta cooker with a 20-litre tank and 8 perforated baskets.
A pasta cooker heats water to a rolling boil, then maintains the temperature while ingredients are submerged in perforated baskets. The perforations allow water to circulate freely around the pasta, vegetables or other items, cooking them evenly without clumping. The large volume of water ensures rapid heat recovery when new batches are added, so service remains consistent even during peak demand.
The LOTUS CP-2ET is designed for continuous use in professional kitchens. The operator fills the 20 litre stainless-steel vat with water, connects the mains supply, and sets the four-position control switch to the desired power level. Once the water reaches boiling point, the baskets—each measuring 10 × 14 × 13.5 cm—are loaded with ingredients and lowered into the vat. The baskets have heat-resistant handles for safe handling. An electromagnetic water inlet valve simplifies refilling, while an overflow safety valve prevents spillage. A rear-mounted drain tap allows quick emptying and cleaning at the end of service.
The unit is built on a stainless-steel frame with tubular heating elements positioned beneath the vat. These elements deliver rapid heat-up and stable temperature control, supported by an integrated overheat thermostat for safety. The footprint of 600 × 500 mm fits on most worktops, and the 22 kg weight allows it to be moved by two people when necessary. The voltage requirement of 400/230 V three-phase matches the supply in commercial kitchens, ensuring compatibility with standard electrical installations.
Eight perforated baskets are supplied, enabling different items to be cooked simultaneously without flavour transfer. The control switch offers four power settings, allowing the operator to adjust the intensity of the boil according to the volume and type of food. The 6 kW power rating reflects the load on the circuit, so the unit should be connected to a dedicated line with appropriate protection.
Cleaning involves draining the vat via the rear tap, wiping down the interior and baskets, and removing any food debris from the perforations. The stainless-steel construction resists corrosion and staining, and the smooth surfaces allow easy sanitisation. The compact design and rear connections keep the worktop area clear for other tasks.
The CP-2ET is classified as a pasta cooker in the professional catering catalogue, positioned alongside other boiling and blanching equipment for high-volume kitchens.
