A plate dispenser keeps stacks of crockery at a constant height, so staff reach the next plate without bending or stretching. The unit holds a column of plates on a spring-loaded platform that rises as plates are removed. The spring tension is set to match the weight of the plates, so each new plate stays at the same level regardless of how many remain. This removes the need to restack or reposition during service, cutting handling time and reducing the risk of chips or breakage.

The FAGOR IDPN-28 is designed for neutral plates up to 375 mm in diameter. Plates are loaded from the top in a single stack. The spring system supports the weight, keeping the top plate at a fixed height while the dispenser is in use. Operators lift one plate at a time, and the platform rises automatically to present the next. No manual adjustment is needed between loads; the dispenser remains ready for the next service period.

Construction is stainless steel throughout, with a spring mechanism housed inside the column. The springs can be engaged or disengaged individually to fine-tune the tension for different plate weights. The unit stands on a square base measuring 391 mm on each side, with an overall height of 730 mm. At 10 kg, it is light enough to move between stations or store when not in use.

The dispenser holds between 40 and 45 plates, depending on their thickness. It is rated for a maximum load of 45 kg, which covers the full capacity of standard catering plates. The footprint of 391 by 391 mm allows it to sit on a worktop or shelf without overhang, fitting into standard kitchen layouts.

Cleaning is straightforward: the stainless steel surfaces wipe down with a damp cloth, and the spring mechanism requires no special maintenance beyond occasional inspection for wear. The unit is supplied as a single model with no variants.
