A display freezer draws customers by keeping frozen goods visible while maintaining safe storage temperatures. Instead of relying on still air, a fan circulates cold air evenly throughout the cabinet. This ventilated cooling system prevents warm spots and ensures every shelf reaches the set temperature quickly, reducing energy use and keeping products at consistent quality for longer periods.

The operator loads the three wire shelves with frozen items, adjusting shelf height to fit different product sizes. The hinged glass door opens to reveal LED lighting that highlights the contents, making colours and packaging stand out under shop lighting. A digital thermostat on the front panel allows precise temperature selection between -24 °C and -10 °C, suitable for ice cream, frozen desserts and pre-packaged meals. The door locks to secure stock overnight or during quiet periods.

The cabinet measures 600 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 850 mm high, fitting into tight retail spaces while offering 120 L of usable volume. The 0.150 kW power rating indicates a modest electrical load, compatible with standard 220-240 V single-phase circuits found in most British shops. At 47 kg, the unit can be moved by two people, and adjustable legs with rear castors allow fine levelling on uneven floors.

The black exterior is made of coated steel, while the interior uses wire shelves for air circulation. The glass door is heated to prevent condensation, keeping the view clear without manual wiping. An automatic defrost cycle reduces ice build-up, cutting down on manual defrosting and cleaning time. The refrigerant R290 is used in a 45 g charge, meeting current environmental standards.

Controls include a digital temperature display, a thermostat dial for setting the desired coldness, and a lockable door handle. The LED lighting switches on when the door opens, saving energy when the cabinet is closed.

Cleaning involves wiping the wire shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The automatic defrost system handles most ice removal, but occasional manual checks ensure drainage channels remain clear. The glass door can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner, avoiding abrasive pads that could scratch the surface.

The UF200VG is a single-door, counter-top model designed for retail display. It fits into TEFCOLD's UF series of ventilated freezers, offering a compact solution for shops that need visible frozen storage without sacrificing floor space.
