A refrigerated display case keeps perishable food visible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. Instead of a compressor pushing cold air through ducts, gravity cooling allows dense chilled air to sink naturally from an evaporator coil mounted above the display area. The air circulates without fans, reducing drying and preserving the colour and texture of fresh meat, cheese and fish. A thermostat cycles the coil on and off, and when frost builds up, an automatic defrost heater melts it so the condensate drains and evaporates without manual emptying.

The SANTIAGO 2.5S is loaded from the front. Place the food on the stainless-steel shelves or in the stainless-steel storage compartments beneath the worktop. Set the thermostat between +1 °C and +10 °C to match the product; the case will hold that temperature without further adjustment. LED lamps—available in white, confectionery or pink—illuminate the display, while decorative ribbons in any RAL colour frame the glass front. Adjustable legs level the unit on uneven floors, and the worktop can be specified in stainless steel or grey granite to match the kitchen's work surfaces.

The entire structure is built from stainless steel, with aluminium profiles and white powder-coated panels for the exterior. High-quality foam insulation between the inner and outer skins reduces the daily energy draw. The refrigerant circuit is charged with one of the listed environmentally friendly gases, and the case can be linked to an external condenser if the kitchen layout requires it.

A 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase supply powers the coil, lighting and controls. The 7.1 kWh daily consumption reflects the insulation and gravity cooling, keeping running costs low in a busy shop. Overall dimensions of 2540 mm wide, 1190 mm deep and 1225 mm high give a generous display area without occupying excessive floor space, and the 10 mm tolerance allows for tight installation against walls or alongside other units in a continuous line.

Cleaning follows the materials: wipe the stainless-steel shelves and worktop with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and use a soft brush on the aluminium profiles to remove dust. The automatic defrost and condensate evaporation mean no trays need emptying, and the LED lamps rarely require replacement.

Variants include worktop material, LED colour and decorative ribbon shade. The SANTIAGO 2.5S can also be ordered with different refrigerant charges to suit local regulations or existing plant.
