The refrigeration system circulates cold air evenly across the storage chamber, maintaining a consistent temperature that slows bacterial growth and preserves freshness. Two evaporators distribute the cold air dynamically, preventing hot spots and ensuring every shelf reaches the set temperature. An internal refrigeration unit, mounted out of sight, compresses refrigerant gas, which then expands and absorbs heat from the air inside the case before being cycled back through the system. Automatic defrosting uses electric heaters to melt any ice build-up on the evaporators, keeping the airflow unobstructed and the cooling efficient without manual intervention. The condenser, positioned at the base, automatically vaporises any moisture collected during the cooling cycle, eliminating the need for external drainage in most installations.

To use the showcase, the operator loads products onto the stainless steel shelves through hinged back doors, arranging them for maximum visibility. The telescopic raised front window glides upward smoothly, allowing easy access for restocking or cleaning. Once loaded, the electronic temperature controller is set to the desired range, and the unit maintains the temperature automatically. LED lighting illuminates the display area, with options for white or pink hues to enhance the appearance of different products. A night blind, made of plexiglass, can be drawn down to cover the front when the shop is closed, reducing energy consumption and protecting the contents.

The construction combines durability and hygiene. The body is made of white-coated sheet metal with a service-side base flashing, while the sides are available in insulated plastic or glass, depending on the chosen colour variant. The worktop and storage chamber are both stainless steel, ensuring easy cleaning and resistance to corrosion. Anodised aluminium profiles in gold or silver frame the display, adding a modern finish. Ecological polyurethane foam insulation fills the walls, minimising heat transfer and improving energy efficiency. The innovative front window raising system eliminates the need for a threshold, creating a seamless transition between the display and the shop floor.

The voltage requirement of 230 V at 50 Hz means the unit plugs into a standard single-phase circuit, suitable for most small to medium retail environments. The footprint of 2600 mm wide, 1205 mm deep, and 1235 mm high, plus an additional 10 mm for clearance, ensures the case occupies a substantial but manageable space in a shop layout, maximising display area without requiring separate storage for fresh products.

Cleaning the showcase involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a mild detergent to remove fingerprints and spills. The non-threshold storage chamber and hinged back doors allow easy access for thorough cleaning. The LED lighting and night blind should be dusted regularly to maintain brightness and clarity. The automatic defrost and condenser vaporisation systems reduce manual maintenance, but the evaporators and condenser should be checked periodically to ensure they remain free of dust and debris.

The JUMbo 2.50 is available with selectable side colours, aluminium profile finishes in gold or silver, and LED lighting options in white or pink. The internal refrigeration unit uses a low-noise Hitachi Scroll compressor, ensuring quiet operation even in customer-facing areas.
