A ceramic surface designed to hold and gently heat four GN1/1 gastronorm trays at once. Instead of a flame or exposed element, the unit uses a smooth ceramic plate that radiates heat evenly across the entire worktop. This method prevents hot spots, so sauces and delicate items stay at the set temperature without scorching or drying out.
The operator places the trays directly on the ceramic top, sets the desired temperature between 30 °C and 95 °C, and leaves the unit to maintain that level. There is no fan, no forced air, only steady radiant warmth that keeps food ready for service or allows slow warming without stirring.
Construction is a stainless-steel frame with adjustable legs, giving a worktop height between 15 mm and 270 mm above the floor. The ceramic plate itself is sealed to the frame, making the surface easy to wipe down after use. A single rotary control on the front panel sets the temperature; an indicator light shows when power is on.
The 1480 mm width matches four GN1/1 trays side by side, so the unit fits standard gastronorm racking and trolleys. A 230 V single-phase connection means it plugs into a standard UK kitchen circuit without requiring a dedicated supply. The low 0.6 kW power draw keeps running costs modest while still providing enough warmth for holding or gentle reheating.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the ceramic surface and the stainless-steel frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent; no disassembly is needed. The adjustable legs should be checked periodically to ensure the unit remains level on uneven floors.
The product is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under hot-holding equipment.
