Equipped with a water supply tap
Water drainage to floor drain
Suitable for GN 1/1 containers, depth 150 mm
A bain marie keeps prepared food at serving temperature without drying or scorching. It circulates warm water around a deep, open tank; the water transfers heat evenly to the gastronorm containers placed inside. This gentle, indirect heating prevents hot spots and preserves texture, moisture and flavour over long service periods. The open design allows staff to slide containers in and out without lifting, reducing spillage and strain.
The operator fills the tank with water to the marked level, then places GN1/1 containers of food inside. The thermostat is set to the desired holding temperature and the unit is switched on. Once the water reaches temperature, the bain marie maintains it automatically. Front-mounted knobs adjust the setting and a locking system secures the controls during service. A front drain tap empties the tank without tilting the unit, and adjustable feet level the cabinet on uneven floors.
The construction is 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish that resists fingerprints and scratches. The 2 mm thick worktop has rounded edges and chrome-plated components for durability and hygiene. IPX5-rated water-resistant control knobs protect the electronics from splashes and steam.
The 2.1 kW power rating draws a steady load suitable for a standard 230 V single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens. The 400×705×900 mm footprint fits beneath standard worktops and leaves clearance for front access. At 41 kg, the unit can be moved by two staff using a sack trolley or pallet jack. The GN1/1 tank with 150 mm depth accommodates full-size gastronorm containers and sufficient water volume to buffer temperature fluctuations during service.
Cleaning involves draining the tank through the front tap, wiping the interior and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then rinsing. The rounded edges and satin finish reduce trapped food particles and water spots. Adjustable feet allow the unit to be tilted slightly for thorough drainage and drying.
