GN container lid Stalgast 119006

A GN1/9 gastronorm lid seals and protects standardised food containers during storage, transport and cooking. The flat stainless steel plate rests directly on the rim of the container, shielding the contents from airborne particles, spills and temperature fluctuations. When stacked, the lids create a stable column of containers, saving space in cupboards, chillers and transport trolleys.

The lid is placed by hand onto the container rim and removed the same way. No clamps or fasteners are needed; the weight of the lid and any containers above it keeps it in position. In a blast chiller or freezer, the lid slows ice formation on the food surface, while in a hot cupboard or bain-marie it helps maintain even heat distribution across the container.

Constructed from stainless steel, the lid resists corrosion, staining and warping under repeated heating and cooling cycles. The smooth surface allows easy wiping and the dishwasher-safe finish permits thorough sanitisation between uses.

Overall dimensions of 176 mm by 108 mm match the GN1/9 gastronorm standard, ensuring compatibility with all containers, racks and trolleys built to that size. The temperature range from -40 °C to +300 °C covers refrigeration, freezing, hot-holding and most oven processes without risk of deformation or material failure.

Stackable design means multiple lids can be stored in a small footprint, and the same lid serves for storage, transport and service without needing to swap covers.

Fits all GN1/9 gastronorm containers and equipment from any manufacturer.
