Professional gas solid-top range with a heavy-duty steel cooking surface, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The 15 mm thick steel cooking plate ensures even heat distribution and is suitable for preparing a wide variety of dishes.
A solid-top gas hob spreads heat evenly across a seamless stainless steel plate, eliminating hot spots and allowing continuous cooking from searing to simmering without moving pans. The hob's surface absorbs and radiates heat from the burner beneath, creating a stable thermal mass that responds gradually to adjustments, making it suited for dishes requiring precise temperature control across the entire work area.
To operate the LOTUS TPT-64G, the chef first ensures the gas supply is connected and the rear flue system is clear. The adjustable legs are set to level the unit on the worktop. The control knobs, rated IPX5 for water resistance, are turned to ignite the pilot flame via the built-in piezo spark. Once the pilot is lit, the main burner is engaged, and the modular gas valve allows fine tuning of the flame intensity. The 37 by 50 cm solid plate heats up, and pans are placed directly on its surface. The thermocouple and safety gas valve automatically cut the supply if the flame extinguishes, preventing gas leaks. A removable drip tray beneath the front edge collects spills for easier cleaning.
The hob is constructed from 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel throughout, with a 1 mm thick satin-finish work surface and rounded edges for safety. Chrome-plated trim and a rear protective panel enhance durability. The control panel at the front can be detached for access during maintenance. A set of nozzles is included for conversion to alternative gas types, and the rear flue system directs combustion gases away from the cooking area.
The 5.5 kW power rating indicates the load on the gas supply, requiring a dedicated line capable of delivering the necessary flow rate. The 400 by 600 mm footprint fits standard worktop depths, while the 280 mm height allows comfortable use without excessive bending. At 54 kg, the unit is heavy enough to remain stable during use but may require two people to position safely.
Cleaning involves removing the front control panel and drip tray, wiping the solid plate with a non-abrasive cloth, and clearing the flue system of any debris. The satin finish resists fingerprints and minor scratches, and the rounded edges prevent grease accumulation. The IPX5-rated knobs can be rinsed under a tap without risk of water ingress.
The TPT-64G is a single model with no variants, supplied with conversion nozzles for different gas types. It is designed for professional kitchen environments and is not intended for domestic use.
