Professional infrared heated food holding unit, designed to keep prepared food at the optimum serving temperature in professional kitchens. The infrared heating lamp provides even heat distribution while preserving food quality.
A French fry warmer keeps cooked chips at serving temperature without drying them out or turning them soggy. Instead of a hotplate or steam, this unit uses an infrared heating lamp positioned above the bowl. Infrared radiation travels directly to the surface of the food, warming it evenly without circulating hot air that could strip moisture. The heat penetrates just enough to maintain crispness while preventing condensation inside the bowl, so chips stay ready for service throughout a busy shift.
The operator loads the perforated stainless steel bowl with freshly cooked chips, then slides it into the warmer. The front control panel carries a single IPX5-rated waterproof knob that sets the infrared lamp to the desired intensity. Once the lamp reaches temperature, it holds the chips at a steady warmth until they are needed. The bowl's perforations allow any residual steam to escape, preventing sogginess, while the rounded edges and satin-finish stainless steel make it easy to scoop portions without damage. Adjustable legs level the unit on uneven floors, and the entire front panel lifts away for access to the lamp and internal components during cleaning.
The 1.47 kW power rating means the warmer draws a steady load on a 230 V single-phase circuit, typical of professional kitchen supplies. At 60 kg, the unit is heavy enough to stay stable on a worktop but can still be moved by two staff. The 400 mm depth and 900 mm width fit standard counter spaces, while the 900 mm height allows staff to reach the bowl without bending. The 30.5 × 51 × 16.5 cm bowl holds a full batch of chips, keeping them in a single layer for even exposure to the infrared heat.
Construction is 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch-Brite satin finish, chosen for durability and resistance to corrosion in a kitchen environment. The 2 mm thick work surface and rounded edges prevent damage to the unit and to serving utensils. Chromed details add corrosion resistance to moving parts, while the IPX5-rated control knob withstands splashes and hose-down cleaning. The warmer arrives without a lid, so it is used open to allow steam to escape and maintain crispness.
Cleaning is straightforward: the front panel lifts off to expose the lamp and internal surfaces, all of which can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The perforated bowl is removable for thorough washing, and the satin finish resists fingerprints and smudges during service. No additional maintenance is required beyond regular wiping and occasional checks of the lamp and electrical connections.
