Professional electric cooker with four cast iron hotplates and a traditional electric oven, designed for intensive use in professional kitchens. The durable AISI 304 stainless steel construction, precise temperature control and ergonomic design ensure high performance and convenient daily operation.
A four-zone electric stove and oven built for the motion and humidity of shipboard kitchens. The hob uses cast-iron plates that store and radiate heat evenly across the cooking surface, while the enclosed oven circulates hot air around the cavity to bake, roast or hold at set temperatures. Both systems run on electric elements, eliminating open flames and allowing precise control of each zone.
The hob has four cast-iron plates, each fitted with a seven-step power regulator. The operator places pots or pans on the plates, selects the desired heat level, and the element cycles on and off to maintain the setting. A temperature limiter on each zone prevents accidental overheating. The oven is a static electric model with a single heating element; the user sets the dial between 50 °C and 300 °C, and the element modulates to hold the chosen temperature inside the 670 × 730 × 340 mm cavity.
To use the stove, the operator first ensures the unit is levelled on its adjustable feet. Pots are placed on the hob zones, or trays on the supplied 650 × 710 mm wire rack inside the oven. The power regulators are turned to the required setting, and the oven thermostat is set if baking. Once cooking is complete, the controls are returned to zero and the elements cool down. The hob's raised steel rims contain spills, and the oven door seals to retain heat.
The entire structure is fabricated from 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel, finished in a Scotch-Brite satin polish. The worktop is 2 mm thick with rounded edges, and the rear panel acts as a splash guard. Chrome-plated trim and IPX5-rated waterproof control knobs withstand the damp and salt of a marine environment. Pot restraints on the hob prevent pans from sliding during ship movement.
Controls consist of four seven-step power regulators for the hob zones and a single rotary thermostat for the oven. The regulators adjust the heat output of each cast-iron plate, while the thermostat sets the oven temperature between 50 °C and 300 °C.
The 20.7 kW total power rating indicates the load the stove places on a three-phase 400 V supply, requiring a dedicated circuit in a ship's galley. The 800 × 900 × 900 mm footprint fits standard marine worktop depths, and the 142 kg weight ensures stability without permanent fixing. The oven's GN 2/1 compatibility allows the use of standard gastronorm trays and racks.
Cleaning is simplified by a removable front control panel that gives access to all internal components. The hob's raised rims and sealed edges prevent liquids from seeping underneath, and the oven's smooth interior surfaces can be wiped down after each use. The cast-iron plates are lifted out for thorough cleaning, and the wire rack is removed for washing.
The stove is supplied with one 650 × 710 mm wire rack and a single end closure panel (TPA-9) for installation against a bulkhead. Adjustable feet allow levelling on uneven decks, and the IPX5-rated controls ensure safe operation in wet conditions.
Designed for marine catering, the LOTUS CF4-98ETX is catalogued under professional galley equipment for ships and offshore installations.
