| NOTES | Automatic water-charge of double jacket; Tank Ø cm. 60x41h |
Professional electric kettle with a capacity of 100 L, designed for preparing soups, broths, sauces, and other dishes in professional kitchens. The model is equipped with an automatic double-jacket water filling system, pressure gauge, pressure switch, condensate drainage system, safety thermostat, and IPX5-rated control elements.
A 100-litre electric kettle built for the motion and humidity of a ship's galley, where every litre of boiling water must be ready without scald risk or uneven heating.
The kettle heats water indirectly through a double jacket that surrounds the inner tank. An electric element warms the water in the jacket; that water then transfers its heat to the contents of the tank without direct contact. The method keeps the temperature steady across the full 100 L, prevents hot spots that can burn stock or sauces, and allows the kettle to recover quickly when cold water is added.
Operation begins by opening the ergonomic lid and loading the tank with up to 100 L of water or liquid stock. The automatic water-charge system then fills the double jacket to the correct level without further attention. Once the power is switched on, the element heats the jacket water, which in turn heats the tank contents. A pressure gauge and safety pressure switch monitor the jacket; if pressure rises above the safe limit, the switch cuts power until conditions normalise. Condensate drains continuously from the jacket, reducing the time needed for the next heating cycle.
The operator sets the desired temperature with the energy regulator and the safety thermostat confirms the setting. When the water reaches the target, the element cycles off and on to hold the temperature until the contents are drawn off through the tap or the lid is opened for ladling.
Construction is entirely in marine-grade stainless steel. The inner tank is 18/10 chromium-nickel AISI 304; the base and all load-bearing parts are AISI 316 for extra resistance to salt corrosion. The work surface is 2 mm thick, satin-finished with Scotch-Brite, and has rounded edges to shed water and reduce injury risk. Chrome-plated details and a rear protective panel shield the controls from splashes, while the IPX5-rated control handles remain watertight even under direct hose spray.
The 21 kW power rating requires a 400/440 V three-phase circuit, the standard supply on commercial vessels. The 120 kg weight is distributed on four adjustable screw feet that can be locked to prevent movement in heavy seas. The 800 × 900 × 900 mm footprint fits the tight worktops of shipboard galleys while still allowing access to the front control panel for cleaning.
Cleaning is organised around the removable front panel. Once the panel is taken off, every internal component—element, jacket, condensate drain and thermostat—is exposed for scrubbing or descaling. The satin finish on the work surface resists fingerprints and water marks, so daily wipe-downs keep the unit looking new.
The model PI100 A-98ETX is the sole variant in this capacity and voltage range, designed specifically for marine environments and certified for shipboard use.
