Confectionery showcase MAXIM 1280 mm. Temperature range +2ºC/+10ºC
A confectionery showcase keeps delicate items chilled while they remain visible and accessible to customers. The unit circulates cold air evenly across every shelf, preventing warm spots that could spoil cream-filled pastries, chocolate truffles or decorated cakes. An internal cooling block draws heat from the air, and a fan distributes the chilled air in a steady stream. This dynamic cooling system eliminates the need for manual defrosting: frost that forms on the evaporator is melted automatically and the water is evaporated without draining, so the showcase stays clean and dry inside.
To use the showcase, plug it into a 230 V single-phase supply and allow it to reach the set temperature. Place confectionery on the two glass shelves, adjusting their height as needed. Side-mounted LED lighting illuminates the shelves without adding heat, so colours stay true and items look fresh throughout service. When the condenser becomes dirty or the fan fails, an alarm sounds, prompting maintenance before cooling efficiency drops.
The outer casing and inner liner are made of painted steel, chosen for durability and ease of cleaning. Four wheels allow the unit to be moved for cleaning or reorganisation, and the flat top permits side-by-side combination with another MAXIM showcase to create a longer display. Condensate is evaporated automatically, removing the need for a drain connection and simplifying installation.
A voltage of 230 V matches the standard supply in British commercial kitchens, so the showcase can be plugged into a dedicated circuit without additional transformers. The temperature range of +2 °C to +10 °C covers the safe storage of cream-based desserts, chocolate and other temperature-sensitive confectionery. The footprint of 1280 mm wide by 1100 mm deep fits against most worktops or counters, while the 1330 mm height allows customers to view items without bending. The weight of the unit is carried by the wheels, so it can be repositioned by one person.
Cleaning involves wiping the painted steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The glass shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning. The condenser should be vacuumed periodically to prevent dust build-up, and the alarm system will alert staff if the fan stops or the condenser becomes blocked. No other maintenance is required beyond routine checks of the refrigerant level, which should be performed by a qualified technician.
The MAXIM 1.25 is a plug-in model designed for front-of-house display. It is part of the IGLOO range of refrigerated showcases for confectionery and patisserie.
