Showcase cooler 40 l
A static showcase cooler keeps prepared food chilled and visible under a glass panel, letting customers see the dishes while the unit maintains a steady low temperature. Cold air settles inside the sealed cabinet, creating a gentle, even chill that preserves texture and flavour without drying the food. Because there is no fan, the cooler runs almost silently, making it suited to front-of-house areas where noise would be intrusive.
The operator loads up to four GN1/3 gastronorm pans directly onto the cooler's shelf. Once the pans are in place, the glass panel is closed and the unit is switched on. The temperature is set between +2 °C and +10 °C, depending on the food being displayed. The cooler then maintains that range automatically, so the operator only needs to check the display occasionally and top up the pans as items are sold. Adjustable feet allow the unit to sit level on uneven floors, keeping the glass panel aligned and the door seal tight.
The cabinet is built from stainless steel, with a glass protective panel that forms the front and top. Inside, the shelf is also stainless steel, sized to accept GN1/3 pans. The cooler runs on a standard 220–240 V single-phase supply, drawing 0.112 kW, which keeps the electrical load low enough for a typical kitchen circuit. Its footprint—1200 mm wide, 395 mm deep and 225 mm high—fits neatly under most worktops, turning counter space into a chilled display area without taking up floor space. At 40 kg, the unit is light enough to be moved by two people but stable enough to stay in place once positioned.
Cleaning is straightforward: the glass panel lifts off for access to the interior, and both the shelf and the stainless steel surfaces can be wiped down with standard kitchen sanitiser. The static cooling system has no moving parts inside the cabinet, so there are no filters or fans to clean or replace. Two variants are available: one with a stainless steel cover for back-of-house use, and one with the glass panel for customer-facing display.
The cooler is categorised as a front-of-house refrigeration unit, designed for chilled display of prepared dishes in professional kitchens and food-service counters.
