The base carries the weight of the machine, its water load and the crockery inside, spreading the load evenly across the floor. The operator places the dishwasher on the base, secures it with the manufacturer's fixing kit, then fits the worktop over the top flange. Once the plumbing and power are connected, the dishwasher sits at the correct height for loading and unloading without bending, and the worktop above becomes a continuous surface for food preparation or tray storage.

Constructed from stainless steel, the base resists corrosion from water spills and cleaning chemicals. The open frame design allows easy access to plumbing connections beneath the dishwasher, while the flat top flange provides a level surface for the worktop to rest on.
