Temperature mode +1/ +9 °C
A static-cooling impulse chiller keeps bottled and canned drinks at serving temperature without freezing. The compressor circulates refrigerant through a coil that surrounds the storage cabinet. Heat from the drinks moves into the coil and is carried away by the refrigerant, lowering the temperature evenly across every shelf. Because the cooling is static—no fan blows air—the drinks stay at a steady 1 to 9 °C without drying out labels or causing condensation to drip onto the worktop.
Load the chiller by opening the hinged lid and placing cans or bottles directly on the wire shelves. The shelves are spaced to fit 72 × 330 ml cans, 48 × 500 ml cans, 63 × 330 ml bottles or 33 × 500 ml bottles. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature between 1 and 9 °C; the compressor cycles on and off to maintain the setting. The unit operates on a standard 220–240 V single-phase supply, drawing 0.074 kW, so it can be plugged into a typical bar or café circuit without overloading.
The cabinet is constructed from coated steel with a clear acrylic lid that lifts for access. Four heavy-duty castors allow the chiller to be rolled into position on a crowded worktop or under a counter. The refrigerant is R600a, a hydrocarbon with low global-warming potential, charged at 30 g. The internal volume is 54 L, and the external dimensions are 456 mm wide, 456 mm deep and 832 mm high, giving a square footprint that fits against a wall or between other equipment. The total weight of 20 kg means the unit can be moved by one person without a trolley.
Controls consist of a single thermostat dial that adjusts the temperature between 1 and 9 °C. The dial is marked in degrees Celsius, allowing precise setting for lager, soft drinks or bottled water. A power indicator light confirms the unit is running.
The 54 L volume provides enough capacity for a full service without restocking, while the 456 mm width allows the chiller to sit on a standard 600 mm worktop. The 20 kg weight ensures stability on castors, and the 0.074 kW power draw keeps running costs low. The temperature range of 1 to 9 °C covers chilled storage for most bottled and canned drinks, avoiding the risk of freezing that can split cans or cloud carbonated drinks.
Cleaning involves wiping the wire shelves and interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The castors should be checked periodically for debris that could impede movement. The hinged lid seals when closed, reducing dust entry, and the static cooling system eliminates the need for a fan or air filter.
The BTA54-B1 is a single model; no variants are listed. It is categorised under impulse drink chillers in the professional refrigeration section of the catalogue.
