A refrigerating chamber creates a large, uniform cold space by circulating chilled air through insulated panels. A compressor draws heat from the air inside, expelling it outside, while a fan distributes the cooled air evenly across shelves and stored items. This method keeps temperatures steady and eliminates hot spots, making it possible to store perishable goods in bulk without spoilage.
The CRPF1515 is assembled without cutting or drilling: modular panels lock together and cooling components are pre-mounted inside the panels. The operator positions the panels, connects the power, and starts the unit. Once running, the chamber maintains the set temperature automatically, defrosting via hot gas that melts ice build-up without manual intervention. Shelves can be added later to organise stock.
Panels are 80 mm thick, filled with insulation, and finished in smooth surfaces for easy cleaning. The floor is made of anti-slip stainless steel to prevent accidents when loading trolleys. Each panel is interchangeable, allowing the door and cooling unit to be repositioned if the kitchen layout changes.
Controls are minimal: a thermostat sets the temperature between 0 and 8 °C, and the defrost cycle runs on its own schedule. The 1.865 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical supply, requiring a three-phase 380-400 V 50 Hz circuit typically found in commercial kitchens. The 3.66 m³ volume provides space for bulk storage, while the 1500×1500×2200 mm footprint fits through standard doorways and into most back-of-house areas. The 279 kg weight means the unit is moved in sections and assembled on site.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel floor and panels with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Shelves, if fitted, are removed and washed separately. The hot-gas defrost system reduces ice build-up, cutting the need for manual defrosting.
The chamber is supplied as a kit of modular panels and components; shelves are ordered separately.
