Cheese grater FIMAR BHS-GR12S

The FIMAR BHS-GR12S is a cheese grater. This appliance operates by mechanically grating cheese. A motor drives a rotating roller with grating surfaces. As cheese is fed into the machine, it comes into contact with the roller, which shreds it into fine pieces. The design includes safety features to protect the user during operation. To use the BHS-GR12S, the operator would typically place the cheese into the feed area. The machine is then activated, causing the roller to spin. Cheese is pushed towards the roller, where it is grated and falls through the designated outlet. A lower protection grid is present to prevent accidental contact with the moving parts. A microswitch is integrated into the grater pusher, which stops the machine if the pusher is not correctly positioned or is removed, enhancing safety. The structure of the FIMAR BHS-GR12S is made from polished aluminium. The grating roller itself is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The overall dimensions of the unit are 430 mm in length, 290 mm in width, and 390 mm in height. Controls for this model are minimal, focusing on operation and safety. A microswitch on the grater pusher acts as a safety interlock, allowing the machine to operate only when the pusher is correctly in place. The machine is powered by a 230 V, single-phase supply, with a power consumption of 0.75 kW. The stainless steel roller provides hygienic grating and longevity. The safety features, including the lower protection grid and the microswitch on the pusher, are designed to minimise the risk of injury during operation. Cleaning of the FIMAR BHS-GR12S should focus on the aluminium structure and the stainless steel roller. These parts can be wiped down or cleaned according to standard kitchen hygiene practices. This model is specifically listed for cheese grating applications in the catalogue.
