Temperature mode +2/ +10 °C
A backbar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks at serving temperature behind the bar, ready for immediate use. It uses a refrigeration circuit that circulates cold air evenly across every shelf. A fan draws warm air over an evaporator coil, where the refrigerant absorbs the heat and carries it away to a compressor and condenser outside the cabinet. The cooled air is then pushed back into the cabinet, maintaining a steady temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C. This ventilated cooling ensures every bottle and can is chilled at the same rate, preventing warm spots and keeping drinks consistently cold without freezing them.
The operator loads the drinks onto the wire shelves, which can be adjusted to fit different bottle and can sizes. The double-glazed glass doors are reversible, allowing the unit to open left or right to suit the bar layout. An LED interior light illuminates the contents, making it easy to see what is stored inside. The electronic thermostat is set to the desired temperature within the +2 °C to +10 °C range, and the variable speed compressor adjusts its output to maintain that temperature efficiently. Adjustable feet ensure the unit sits level on the floor, even if the bar surface is uneven.
The cabinet is constructed with wire shelves that allow air to circulate freely around the drinks. The double-glazed glass doors provide insulation while keeping the contents visible. The refrigerant used is R290, a hydrocarbon with a low environmental impact. The unit operates on a 220-240 V, 50 Hz electrical supply, suitable for standard UK commercial circuits.
The 278 L volume allows storage of up to 380 x 330 ml cans, 266 x 500 ml cans, 218 x 330 ml bottles, or 218 x 500 ml bottles. The 0.125 kW power rating indicates a low electrical load, reducing running costs. The 88 kg weight means the unit can be moved by two people but is stable once in place. The 1350 mm width, 526 mm depth, and 870 mm height fit under most bar counters, maximising workspace while providing ample storage.
Cleaning involves wiping the wire shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth to remove spills and condensation. The glass doors should be cleaned regularly to maintain visibility. The adjustable feet should be checked periodically to ensure the unit remains level. The refrigerant charge is sealed and does not require routine maintenance.
The DB301S-3 is a single model with no variants. It is categorised as a backbar cooler in the TEFCOLD professional refrigeration range.
