Sliding doors. Temperature mode +2/ +10 °C
A backbar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks chilled to order behind the bar, ready for immediate service without ice or delay. The unit draws heat from the stored drinks and expels it at the rear, using a refrigerant that circulates through a sealed system. A fan moves air across the evaporator coil, speeding the transfer of heat and maintaining an even temperature throughout the cabinet. This ventilated cooling method eliminates hot spots and ensures every drink is served at the same chill, whether it has been stored for minutes or hours. To use the cooler, the operator loads the drinks onto the two chrome wire shelves, each sized to hold standard bar bottles and cans. The shelves are adjustable, allowing the spacing to be set for taller bottles or stacked cans. Once loaded, the electronic thermostat is set to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C. The variable-speed compressor starts automatically, adjusting its output to maintain the set temperature without unnecessary energy use. LED interior lighting illuminates the contents, making it easy to locate the required drink even in dim bar lighting. The double tempered glass door provides a clear view of the stock without opening the cabinet, reducing cold air loss. The cooler is constructed with a stainless-steel interior and exterior, providing durability and ease of cleaning. The two chrome wire shelves are removable for thorough cleaning. The refrigerant used is R600a, a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact, contained in a 70 g charge. The unit operates on a 220-240 V, 50 Hz supply, drawing 0.115 kW, which is suitable for a standard UK single-phase circuit. With a net volume of 182 litres, the cooler holds up to 276 x 330 ml cans, 188 x 500 ml cans, 143 x 330 ml bottles, or 143 x 500 ml bottles. Its footprint measures 900 mm wide, 520 mm deep, and 870 mm high, designed to fit beneath a standard bar counter or against a backbar. The unit weighs 63 kg, making it stable yet manageable for two people to position during installation. The chrome wire shelves and tempered-glass doors wipe clear in seconds, keeping the display spotless between shifts without trapping odours or residue. The shelves can be removed and washed separately. The condenser coil at the rear should be kept free of dust to maintain efficient cooling performance. The cooler is supplied with all standard equipment, including the double-glazed door, electronic thermostat, and LED lighting, requiring no additional components for operation. The DB201SI is categorised as a backbar cooler, designed specifically for use in bars, restaurants, and other professional beverage service environments.
