Temperature mode +2/ +10 °C
A backbar cooler keeps bottled and canned drinks chilled behind the counter, ready for service without leaving the bar area. The BA26S uses a variable-speed compressor to circulate cold air evenly across every shelf. A fan draws warm air over the evaporator coil, where the refrigerant absorbs the heat and carries it to the condenser at the rear. The cooled air is then pushed back into the cabinet, maintaining a steady temperature between +2 °C and +10 °C. This ventilated cooling method prevents hot spots and ensures every bottle or can reaches the same chill, even when the doors are opened frequently.
To load the unit, slide the adjustable chrome shelves forward or remove them to fit taller bottles. The reversible double-glazed doors swing left or right to suit the bar layout. An electronic thermostat inside the cabinet lets the operator set the exact temperature; the LED interior light illuminates the contents without adding heat. Four adjustable feet level the unit on uneven floors, and the variable-speed compressor reduces energy use during quieter periods.
The cabinet is sized to fit beneath most bar counters at 900 mm wide, 515 mm deep and 870 mm high. Four chrome-plated wire shelves, each 395 mm by 328 mm, organise the stock. The 182-litre volume holds up to 276 standard 330 ml cans or 143 full-size 500 ml bottles. A 63 kg weight allows two staff to reposition the unit when needed, while the 220-240 V, 50 Hz connection matches standard UK commercial circuits. The refrigerant is R600a, charged at 70 g.
Cleaning involves wiping the wire shelves and interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The double-glazed doors can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the condenser coil at the rear should be vacuumed periodically to maintain airflow. The electronic thermostat requires no calibration, but the door seals should be checked regularly to prevent cold air escaping.
The BA26S is positioned in the catalogue under bar refrigeration, alongside under-counter and counter-top models designed for drink service.
