Water softening unit with a capacity that reduces water hardness and the formation of limescale deposits. Helps extend the service life of heating elements and household appliances. Regenerable with tablet salt.
A water softener removes dissolved minerals from the supply before they reach appliances that heat or chill water. Hard water leaves limescale on heating elements, in pipes and on surfaces, shortening the life of dishwashers, convection-steam ovens, coffee machines and ice generators. The softener passes the water through a resin bed that exchanges calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions, preventing scale build-up without altering taste or hygiene.
The operator connects the softener to the mains water line upstream of the equipment it protects. When the resin bed becomes saturated, the unit signals that regeneration is needed. Pressing the regeneration button starts a cycle that flushes the resin with brine made from salt tablets, restoring its capacity. No manual disassembly is required; the process runs in place and the softened water is available again once the cycle finishes.
The softener is housed in a compact cabinet of 180 mm depth, 420 mm width and 500 mm height, designed to fit alongside or beneath worktops in professional kitchens. Its 230 V electrical supply matches standard UK single-phase circuits, drawing minimal power for control and regeneration. The internal resin cartridge is regenerated with dedicated salt tablets, keeping the system simple and predictable.
Cleaning and maintenance follow from the parts the unit contains. The resin bed requires periodic regeneration with salt tablets to remain effective. The brine tank must be refilled with tablets before each regeneration cycle, and the tank itself should be rinsed occasionally to remove any salt residue. No other disassembly or chemical cleaning is necessary.
This water softener is specified for use with dishwashers, convection-steam ovens, coffee machines and ice generators, protecting their heating elements and water circuits from limescale damage.
