A water boiler heats water by passing an electric current through a submerged element. The element warms the water directly, while a thermostat cycles the power to hold the temperature steady. This method gives fast recovery and precise control, so the boiler can supply hot water at the exact temperature a kitchen needs for tea, coffee, blanching or stock.

The operator fills the boiler through the top opening, then sets the thermostat dial to the required temperature between 30 °C and 100 °C. A power indicator light shows the unit is live, and an operation light confirms the element is heating. When the water reaches the set point, the thermostat switches the element off; as the water cools, the thermostat switches it back on. The fluid level indicator on the side lets the operator check the remaining volume without opening the lid. To draw water, the operator opens the drip-free valve on the front; the valve closes automatically when released, preventing spills.

The housing is made of powder-coated steel for corrosion resistance. Cold plastic handles on the lid and front panel prevent burns during use. A safety thermostat cuts power if the main thermostat fails, stopping the water from overheating.

The 1.5 kW element draws a steady load on a 230 V circuit, so the boiler should be plugged into a dedicated socket that can supply the current without tripping. The 8.7 litre volume gives enough capacity for continuous service in a medium-sized kitchen without constant refilling. The footprint of 225 mm by 495 mm fits on most worktops or under low cupboards.

After service, the boiler should be emptied through the drip-free valve and wiped down with a damp cloth. The powder-coated finish can be cleaned with mild detergent; abrasives should be avoided to prevent damage to the coating. The lid and handles are removable for deeper cleaning if needed.
