Terminal box for dishwashers
A terminal box organises and protects the electrical connections that power catering appliances. It provides a central point where incoming supply cables meet the internal wiring of the equipment, shielding the joints from moisture, grease and accidental contact. The box itself is a metal or plastic enclosure with a removable cover; inside, terminal blocks or screw connectors hold the wires firmly in place so that current flows without interruption or short-circuit. In a professional kitchen, where steam, splashes and vibration are constant, this secure housing prevents faults that could stop a fryer, oven or grill mid-service.
To install the Stalgast Terminal Box Kado K 1/6, the operator first isolates the appliance from the mains. The cover is removed, exposing the terminal blocks. Incoming cables are stripped to the correct length, inserted into the designated terminals and tightened with a screwdriver. The same is done for the appliance's internal wires, matching each conductor to its corresponding terminal. Once every connection is secure, the cover is replaced and the appliance can be safely reconnected. The box remains in place throughout the life of the equipment, requiring only occasional checks to ensure no wires have worked loose or become corroded.
The Kado K 1/6 is a spare part designed to fit specific Stalgast catering appliances. It ensures continuity of electrical supply in units where the original terminal box has been damaged or needs replacement, maintaining the safety and performance standards of the original installation.
