Gas range suitable for pots up to 40L
A gas range heats pots and pans directly with open flames, transferring energy straight to the cookware without an intermediate surface. The burners mix gas with air to create a controlled flame, allowing precise temperature adjustments for frying, boiling, simmering or sautéing. This direct method responds instantly to changes in gas flow, giving chefs immediate control over cooking intensity. The heat spreads evenly across the base of the pot, reducing hot spots that can scorch food or slow down preparation in a busy service.
To use the range, the operator first checks that the gas supply matches the G30 specification. The adjustable feet are set to level the unit on the worktop, ensuring pots sit steady. The pilot flame is lit, and the flame safety device automatically cuts the gas if the flame goes out, preventing unburned gas from building up. Once the pilot is stable, the main burner is ignited. The burner power can be reduced to one-third for a smaller, economical flame, useful for gentle simmering or keeping food warm without overcooking. Pots up to 40 litres are placed on the stainless steel grid, which supports heavy loads and allows heat to circulate beneath the cookware.
The range is built with a stainless steel grid that resists corrosion and withstands the weight of large pots. A flame safety device shuts off the gas supply if the flame is extinguished, protecting the kitchen from gas leaks. The burner power can be reduced to a third of its full output, providing a smaller flame for lower heat settings. Adjustable feet allow the unit to be levelled on uneven floors or worktops, preventing spills and ensuring even cooking.
The 5 kW power rating indicates the maximum gas load the range draws, which determines the size of the gas pipe and regulator needed in the kitchen. The 340 mm height, 398 mm width and 340 mm depth give the footprint of the unit, showing how much space it occupies on the worktop or counter. The range is designed for pots up to 40 litres, allowing large batches of stock, sauces or pasta to be cooked at once.
Cleaning involves removing the stainless steel grid to wash off food residue and grease. The burners should be checked regularly for blockages that can disrupt the flame. The flame safety device requires no maintenance but should be tested periodically to ensure it responds correctly. The adjustable feet can be wiped down and checked for stability.
The range is available in gas version G30, compatible with butane and propane supplies common in professional kitchens.
