A mobile worktop on castors brings hot or cold plated dishes from the pass to the dining room without a break in service. The two shelves create separate levels for plates, cutlery and condiments, keeping the workflow organised while the cart is in motion.
The principle is simple: a rigid frame on four swivel castors carries two flat surfaces. The lower shelf is set at a comfortable working height for loading, while the upper shelf keeps items within easy reach for service staff. Because the unit rolls on castors, it can be positioned exactly where it is needed—beside the hot pass, in the plating area or at the point of service—then moved out of the way when the rush is over.
To use the cart, load the lower shelf first with heavier items such as stacked plates or bulk containers. The upper shelf is then filled with lighter items like cutlery rolls, napkins or small condiment bottles. Once loaded, the cart is wheeled to the service point. After service, the shelves are cleared and the cart is returned to its storage position.
Construction is a welded frame of tubular steel, finished in a durable powder coating. The shelves are flat, smooth surfaces that allow easy wiping and resist scratches. The castors are fitted with brakes to hold the cart securely when stationary.
The overall dimensions of 860 mm long, 530 mm wide and 800 mm high give a compact footprint that fits through standard kitchen doorways and between workstations. The height of 800 mm places the upper shelf at a convenient level for most staff to reach without bending.
Cleaning is straightforward: the shelves and frame are wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each service. The castors are checked periodically to ensure they roll freely and the brakes engage properly.
