The stainless steel French fry scoop is designed for convenient portioning and transferring of French fries and other fried foods. The removable plastic handles provide a comfortable grip and make cleaning quick and easy.
A stainless steel scoop designed to lift, portion and transfer fried foods without breaking or spilling. The flat, perforated blade slides under batches of chips, onion rings or nuggets, letting excess oil drain back into the fryer while the food is moved to a serving tray or holding station. The method keeps portions consistent, speeds service and reduces waste from crumbled or over-handled product.
The operator lowers the scoop into the fryer basket or directly into the hot oil, gathers the fried items with a gentle rocking motion, then lifts the scoop clear. A slight tilt drains residual oil through the perforations before the food is tipped onto a plate or into a bain-marie. The process is repeated for each batch, maintaining even portion sizes and preventing cross-contamination between different fried items.
The scoop is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, ensuring it withstands daily exposure to hot oil, cleaning chemicals and mechanical stress. The lower edge measures 105 mm across, providing enough width to gather a full portion in a single motion. Removable plastic handles snap on and off for easy cleaning and reduce heat transfer to the operator's hands during prolonged use.
Overall dimensions of 200 mm by 225 mm give a stable working surface that fits comfortably above standard fryer baskets and serving trays. The scoop is light enough to manoeuvre with one hand yet rigid enough to support a full load without bending.
Cleaning follows from the materials and construction: the stainless steel blade is wiped or scrubbed to remove oil residue, then sanitised; the plastic handles are detached and washed separately to prevent grease build-up in the attachment points. Regular cleaning maintains hygiene standards and extends the working life of the scoop.
The Stalgast 319000 is a single model without variants, used across commercial kitchens, quick-service restaurants and catering operations where fried foods are portioned and served.
