Sliding washer for a 803036
A sliding washer is a flat ring placed under a bolt or nut to distribute the clamping force over a wider area. In professional catering equipment the ring also prevents metal surfaces from galling when the fixture is adjusted repeatedly. The washer slides between the moving part and the fixed frame, allowing smooth movement without scoring the surfaces.
The operator fits the washer onto the bolt or stud before the mating part is positioned. Once the nut is tightened, the washer carries the load and keeps the joint from seizing. During adjustment the washer rotates with the moving part, protecting both the part and the frame from wear.
This Stalgast sliding washer is a flat stainless-steel disc with a central hole sized for standard catering fixings. The material resists corrosion from steam, detergents and food acids, ensuring the washer remains free-moving throughout its service life.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the washer with a damp cloth or rinsing it under a tap; no disassembly is required. The washer is supplied individually and fits any adjustable fixture that uses the same thread diameter.
