A shower screen sits between the group head and the portafilter in an espresso machine, breaking the pressurised hot water into fine, even streams. This distribution ensures the coffee puck is saturated uniformly, preventing channeling and extracting balanced flavour from the grounds.

The operator removes the portafilter, unscrews the existing screen, places the new shower screen into the group head and tightens it. Once secured, the machine is ready to pull shots; the screen remains in place until the next replacement.

Constructed as a single stainless-steel disc with a central threaded fitting, the screen is matched to the 35.8 mm diameter of the group head. The thread allows it to be screwed directly into the machine without tools.

This shower screen fits Saeco models including Café Grande, Café IT, Incanto RS SBS, Magic Comfort Plus Redesign, Magic Deluxe Redesign, Royal Cappuccino Redesign, Royal Classic, Royal Coffee Bar FWA, Royal Digital Plus Redesign, Royal Professional, Spidem Digital Plus, SUP 018 CR, Vienna, Vienna Deluxe and Vienna Digital. It also fits Krups Palatino 905 and Gaggia Syncrony Logic machines.

In the catalogue it is listed under spare parts for espresso equipment.
