Shower screen LF L1081116

A shower screen sits between the group head and the portafilter, distributing water evenly across the coffee puck. In a commercial espresso machine the screen breaks the single jet from the solenoid valve into a fine, uniform spray. This prevents channeling, so the entire bed of coffee is extracted at the same rate and the shot runs clear from the first drop.

The operator removes the portafilter, unscrews the existing screen with a flat spanner, and threads the new 60 mm screen into the group. A rubber O-ring inside the screen seals against the group head. Once tightened, the machine is ready to pull shots; no calibration or warm-up is needed.

The screen is pressed from a single disc of stainless steel. The perforations are laser-cut to a consistent diameter, so each hole delivers the same flow. The rim is rolled to protect the O-ring and to give a secure grip when the screen is removed for cleaning.

The 60 mm diameter matches the standard group head size used by most professional espresso machines. The stainless steel construction withstands the thermal cycling and pressure of daily service without warping or corrosion.

After each service the screen should be removed, rinsed under hot water and brushed to clear coffee oils from the perforations. A weekly soak in espresso machine cleaner removes any built-up residue and keeps the flow rate even.

This shower screen is a direct replacement for the original part on the listed models. It fits over forty makes of commercial espresso machines, including Bezzera, Faema, La Marzocco, Rancilio, Sanremo and Vibiemme.
