A sugar bowl holds granulated or caster sugar at the service point, keeping it dry, free-flowing and ready for portioning. The Isabell design uses a smooth, rounded container that sits directly on the worktop or counter, allowing staff to scoop or pour without lifting. Its low profile and stable base prevent tipping when the bowl is nudged during busy service.
The bowl is filled from the top and accessed by lifting the lid. A single-piece construction with no seams or crevices simplifies cleaning and reduces the risk of sugar clumping in corners. The material resists corrosion and does not absorb odours, so the sugar stays fresh between refills.
To use, the operator removes the lid, fills the bowl to the desired level, and replaces the lid. The bowl remains in place on the counter, where staff can scoop sugar directly into cups, teapots or ramekins without moving the container. The 320 ml volume provides enough capacity for a full service period without frequent refilling, while the 96 mm diameter footprint fits neatly on crowded worktops.
The bowl is made of stainless steel, chosen for its durability and resistance to staining. The surface is polished to a smooth finish, which helps prevent sugar from sticking and makes wiping down straightforward after service.
Cleaning involves rinsing the bowl under warm water to remove sugar residue, then drying it with a cloth. The absence of moving parts or hidden corners means no disassembly is required. Regular wiping with a damp cloth maintains the polished appearance and prevents sugar build-up.
The Isabell sugar bowl is categorised under tabletop accessories in the Stalgast professional catering range.
