Replacement filter Stalgast 823401

A water filter removes suspended particles, minerals and organic matter from the supply before they reach taps, glasswashers or combi ovens. Inside the housing, a dense medium traps contaminants while allowing water to pass. Over time the medium clogs, so the filter must be swapped to keep flow rate and purity at the levels the equipment expects.

The operator shuts off the water, depressurises the line, unscrews the old filter housing, discards the spent cartridge and inserts the new one. The housing is resealed, the line repressurised and a short rinse flushes any loose particles. Once the system is back on stream, the filter begins to protect pumps, valves and heating elements from scale and sediment.

This Stalgast replacement filter is built for the PURITY 450 range, models 823400 and 823402. The housing is not supplied; only the disposable cartridge is provided.

The 4217 litre capacity indicates how much water the filter can treat before the medium is exhausted. In a busy kitchen this volume translates to several weeks of continuous use, reducing the frequency of change-outs and the risk of unplanned downtime.

Cleaning is limited to the external housing, which should be wiped with a damp cloth to remove dust and grease. The cartridge itself is not cleaned or reused; once the rated volume is reached, it is discarded and replaced.
