A ventilated display refrigerator keeps goods chilled by circulating cold air continuously around the cabinet. A fan draws warm air over an evaporator coil, where the refrigerant absorbs the heat. The cooled air is then pushed back into the cabinet, maintaining an even temperature throughout. This method prevents hot spots and ensures every shelf stays within the set range, making it suitable for perishable items that need consistent cooling without freezing.

The SCANDOMESTIC SD881HE is a two-door unit with a 437 litre capacity. The operator loads products onto the eight adjustable wire shelves, each measuring 374 by 436 millimetres. The doors open to reveal the interior, which is lit by two vertical LED strips that run the full height of the cabinet. The electronic control panel on the outside allows the temperature to be set between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius. Once the doors are closed, the self-closing mechanism ensures they seal properly, and the locks can be engaged for security.

The cabinet stands on four castors, allowing it to be moved across the floor without lifting. The exterior is finished in white with a black frame, and the hinged doors are fitted with clear glass panels. Inside, the refrigerant R290a circulates through the system, absorbing heat from the air and releasing it outside the cabinet. The power consumption of 3.76 kilowatt-hours per 24 hours reflects the load on the electrical supply, which must be a 230 volt, 50 hertz circuit.

The eight shelves can be repositioned to accommodate different product heights, and the LED lighting ensures the contents remain visible even in low ambient light. The 870 by 605 millimetre footprint determines the floor space the unit occupies, while the 2000 millimetre height may require clearance above for installation. The 112 kilogram weight indicates the unit is designed to be rolled into place rather than carried, and the castors should be locked once the refrigerator is positioned.

Cleaning involves wiping down the wire shelves and the interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The exterior can be cleaned similarly, taking care not to allow water into the control panel or the ventilation grilles. The LED lights do not require maintenance beyond occasional dusting, and the refrigerant circuit is sealed, so no topping up is needed.
