A push button panel diaphragm translates finger pressure into an electrical signal that selects the drink in a vending machine. Beneath each button a flexible diaphragm seals the switch contacts from dust and liquid; when pressed, the diaphragm flexes and closes the circuit, sending the chosen programme to the machine's control board. This method keeps the internal electronics clean and ensures consistent operation over thousands of cycles.
The operator loads the ingredients, powers the machine and then relies on the panel to relay each selection. Pressing a button triggers the diaphragm, which in turn signals the machine to dispense the correct drink. Once the cycle completes, the diaphragm returns to its resting position, ready for the next press.
The panel is constructed with a rigid frame that mounts behind the machine's front fascia. Two buttons are moulded into the diaphragm sheet, each clearly marked for the drink it controls. The material is chosen to resist repeated flexing and exposure to cleaning agents used in commercial environments.
This LF diaphragm is a direct replacement for the original part on Lavazza LB3000-Astro and Necta Astro, Astro Doppio Espresso, Astro Espresso Instant and Kikko Max Espresso Instant vending machines. It is listed in the vending-machine spares section of the catalogue.
