Professional water softener for dishwashers with a capacity of 12,000 litres. Reduces limescale and deposit build-up, improves washing performance and extends the service life of the equipment.
A water softener removes minerals that cause limescale before the water reaches the dishwasher. Hard water leaves deposits on heating elements and spray arms, shortening their life and reducing wash performance. The softener contains resin beads that exchange calcium and magnesium ions for sodium ions, preventing scale build-up and keeping the machine running efficiently.
The operator connects the Purity 1200 Clean to the water supply line of the dishwasher. Once installed, it requires no daily intervention; the resin bed works continuously until its capacity is reached. A flow meter inside the unit tracks the volume of water treated, and when the 12,000 litre limit is approached, the resin must be regenerated or replaced to restore full softening capability.
The unit is housed in a compact casing of 288 mm width, 255 mm depth and 550 mm height, allowing it to fit beneath most worktops or inside cupboards adjacent to the dishwasher. The connections are positioned for easy access without moving the unit.
Inside, the resin bed binds not only calcium and magnesium but also heavy metal ions such as lead and copper. This dual action improves water quality, resulting in cleaner, shinier glassware and cutlery with fewer water spots or detergent residues.
The 12,000 litre capacity means the unit treats enough water for several weeks of typical professional use before regeneration is needed. This reduces the frequency of maintenance tasks and helps maintain consistent wash results over time.
Cleaning involves replacing or regenerating the resin when the capacity is exhausted. No daily cleaning is required, as the unit has no moving parts or surfaces that come into contact with food.
