A pilot jet meters the precise flow of gas to the burner that keeps the flame alight in gas-powered catering appliances. The jet is a small brass component with a calibrated orifice; its diameter determines how much gas passes through under a given pressure. This steady, controlled flow maintains the pilot flame at the correct size and temperature, ensuring the appliance can ignite reliably whenever the main burner is called for.
The operator does not interact with the pilot jet directly. It is installed inside the gas valve or burner assembly during servicing. Once fitted, the jet requires no adjustment; the fixed orifice delivers the exact gas volume the appliance was designed for. If the pilot flame becomes weak, flickers or fails to stay lit, the jet may be clogged or worn and should be replaced with an identical specification.
The LF PILOT JET ø 0.25 mm is a brass component with a single orifice of 0.25 mm diameter. It is a direct replacement for the original part in the listed models of gas fryers, convection ovens, bain-maries, boiling pans, bratt pans, fry tops, grills, hot cupboards, kitchen ranges, lava rock grills, pasta cookers, pot stoves, solid-top ranges and stove camps from CONVOTHERM, ELFRAMO, FAGOR, KOMEL, MARENO, MODULAR and ZANUSSI.
Cleaning is limited to removing any carbon or debris from the orifice with a soft brush or compressed air. No solvents or sharp tools should be used, as these can alter the diameter and affect the gas flow. The jet should be inspected whenever the appliance is serviced and replaced if the orifice shows signs of wear or blockage.
