ring thickness 2.62 mm - internal ø 10.78 mm
An O-ring creates a pressure-tight seal between two metal surfaces in an espresso machine. It sits in a groove, compressed when the parts are bolted together, blocking steam and water from escaping. Viton is a synthetic rubber that withstands the high temperatures and aggressive cleaning chemicals found in commercial coffee equipment. Over time the material hardens and loses its elasticity; replacing the O-ring restores the original seal and prevents leaks that waste energy and slow service.
To fit the O-ring, the operator first isolates the machine from the water and power supplies. The group head or boiler cover is removed, exposing the old O-ring in its groove. The worn ring is prised out with a plastic tool to avoid scratching the metal. The new O-ring is pressed into the groove by hand, ensuring it lies flat and is not twisted. The cover is refitted and tightened evenly, then the machine is reconnected and tested for leaks before returning to service.
The O-ring is made of Viton, a fluoroelastomer chosen for its resistance to heat, oils and detergents. It is supplied as a single continuous ring with no joins, ensuring a uniform seal around the entire circumference.
This O-ring fits a wide range of professional espresso machines from BRUGNETTI-AURORA, CASADIO, CIMBALI, CIME, EXPOBAR, FAEMA, FUTURMAT-ARIETE, GAGGIA SPAGNA, GRIMAC, ITALCREM, JEMI, MAIRALI, MARZOCCO, PALANCA, SCALA, SPAZIALE, VIBIEMME and VISACREM. It is listed in the catalogue under spare parts for coffee equipment.
