12 levels of guides every 32 mm
A thermal insulated container keeps hot or chilled food at serving temperature while it moves from kitchen to service point. The walls, base and lid are filled with expanded polypropylene foam that traps air, slowing the transfer of heat. This method relies on conduction and convection: the foam's closed cells block warm air from reaching the food, while the outer shell reflects radiant heat. The result is a steady internal climate that extends holding time without reheating or refrigeration.
The container loads twelve standard GN 1/1 gastronorm trays, each guided by a shelf level spaced 32 mm apart. The operator slides the trays in from the front, secures the stainless-steel latches, and carries the unit using the ergonomic side handles. A door that opens 270 degrees allows full access for loading and unloading, and the door can be removed for thorough cleaning. Tightly sealed GN lids are recommended to prevent spillage and maintain temperature during transport.
Construction is expanded polypropylene throughout, chosen for its resilience and light weight. The material absorbs knocks without denting and springs back into shape, protecting both the food and the container. Stainless-steel latches hold the door firmly closed, and the black finish resists staining and wear.
Controls are minimal: the latches lock the door, and the handles allow safe carrying. No power or settings are required; the insulation works passively once the door is closed.
A volume of 93 litres provides capacity for twelve full-size GN 1/1 trays, while the 645 mm length and 445 mm width fit standard worktop trolleys and delivery vans. The 625 mm height clears most doorways and service lifts. The maximum temperature rating of 93 °C allows safe transport of hot dishes straight from the oven or bain-marie.
Cleaning follows from the materials: the EPP surface can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The removable door and smooth interior corners simplify access, and the stainless-steel latches are corrosion-resistant. No special tools or chemicals are needed.
The container is supplied as a single unit in black expanded polypropylene, sized to hold twelve GN 1/1 trays with 20 mm depth allowance per tray.
This model is listed in the Stalgast catalogue under insulated transport containers for professional catering.
