This induction griddle plate transfers heat directly to ferrous-metal pans using a magnetic field beneath the ceramic surface. The pan itself becomes the heat source, eliminating wasted energy from glowing elements or flames. The ceramic surface remains cool except where the pan conducts heat back onto it, allowing immediate temperature adjustments and efficient cooking with minimal energy loss.
The Roller-grill PID700 splits its power into two separate zones, each controlled by a 20-step digital setting. This lets one zone handle high-heat tasks like searing while the other maintains a gentle simmer for sauces. A single 230 V supply powers both zones, and the unit can operate continuously at full capacity for extended periods without overheating.
Measuring 400 mm deep and 700 mm wide, the PID700 fits easily on worktops or counters, leaving space for food preparation. Weighing 21 kg, it is portable enough for mobile setups or food trucks, yet its Vitro ceramic surface supports heavy loaded pans. Two fans and removable filters prevent overheating, ensuring a long operational life.
The 230 V connection works with standard single-phase circuits found in most kitchens. The total power draw requires a dedicated circuit with a suitably rated breaker to handle peak demand. The digital controls adjust power levels directly, giving precise control over the energy delivered to each pan.
Maintenance is simple: the smooth Vitro ceramic surface cleans with a damp cloth once cooled. The removable filters should be washed regularly to maintain airflow and prevent dust build-up. No other upkeep is needed beyond keeping the surface and filters clear of debris.
