Temperature mode +30/+90 SERVE OVER
This heated display case maintains prepared hot foods at serving temperature while showcasing them behind glass. A built-in fan ensures even warm air distribution across the shelves, eliminating cold spots and preserving consistent heat. Humidity is introduced into the airflow to prevent pastries, roasts, and grilled items from drying out during service. The glass front and LED lighting allow customers to view the food clearly without opening the case, minimising heat loss and supporting an efficient kitchen workflow.
Hot food is loaded directly onto the shelves from the oven or hot-hold unit. A hand-operated thermostat on the side panel adjusts the temperature between 30 °C and 90 °C; the fan and heating element cycle automatically to maintain the set level. A water reservoir at the base feeds the humidifier, requiring periodic refilling. The mirror-finish back door enhances the display, creating an impression of greater volume. Removable wire shelves enable quick reconfiguration for various tray sizes or taller items.
The entire unit is constructed from stainless steel, including the exterior panels, interior liner, and door frame. A single-piece glass front is sealed to the frame to retain heat and humidity. The mirror back door, made of glass, is hinged for easy access. LED lighting strips along the top edge illuminate the shelves without generating additional heat. A built-in fan behind the back panel draws air from the bottom and circulates it upwards through the shelves for consistent airflow.
With a 2.1 kW power rating, the unit operates on a standard 230 V circuit. The 73 kg weight necessitates two people for positioning, though it remains stable once placed. The dimensions of 746 mm wide by 718 mm deep suit a standard 2GN counter cut-out, making it adaptable for both drop-in and free-standing installations.
Cleaning involves switching off and unplugging the unit first. Shelves can be removed for washing in a sink or dishwasher. The interior liner and glass panels are wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent; the mirror back door is cleaned similarly. The water reservoir should be emptied and rinsed weekly to avoid scale accumulation. The fan grille at the back requires monthly brushing or vacuuming to maintain unobstructed airflow.
The THAYA HOT GN2 represents the 2GN size within the range, which also includes 1GN, 2GN High, and 3GN variants, as well as drop-in and table-top models. All models feature the same temperature range, LED lighting, and stainless steel construction.
