A heating display keeps plated dishes at serving temperature while they wait for collection. A low-wattage heating element beneath the shelf warms the air inside the curved glass canopy. The canopy traps the warm air, creating a gentle, even heat that surrounds the plates without direct contact. This method prevents drying, crusting or overcooking, so sauces stay glossy and vegetables retain colour and texture.
The operator places the plated dishes on the shelf, closes the glass canopy, and sets the thermostat to the desired holding temperature. Once the unit reaches the set point, a thermostat cycles the element on and off to maintain the temperature. The dishes remain visible through the curved glass, allowing staff to monitor presentation without opening the canopy and losing heat.
The unit is constructed with a stainless-steel frame and a curved glass canopy. The shelf inside is also stainless steel, providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface for plated dishes. The controls consist of a single thermostat knob, which adjusts the holding temperature within the unit's operating range.
A power rating of 0.60 kW indicates a modest load on the electrical supply, suitable for a standard 230 V, 50 Hz circuit found in most professional kitchens. The 990 mm length provides space for multiple plated dishes in a single row, while the 455 mm width and 450 mm height fit neatly on a worktop or counter without occupying excessive floor space.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel shelf and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The curved glass canopy can be removed for thorough cleaning, ensuring hygiene and clarity for display purposes.
This model is a single-tier heating display with a 990 mm curved glass canopy, designed for front-of-house use where presentation and temperature control are critical.
