An apple cutter and peeler removes the core, slices the fruit and strips the skin in a single continuous motion. The apple is impaled on a central spike, then a hand-cranked blade assembly rotates around it. As the blade turns, it peels the skin in a spiral, slices the flesh into even wedges, and ejects the core through the base. The process is mechanical, so it requires no electricity and produces no heat that could bruise the fruit or alter its flavour.
To use the unit, place the apple on the spike, secure it with the spring-loaded clamp, then turn the crank handle. The blade assembly moves along the length of the apple, completing the peel, slice and core in one pass. The wedges drop into a waiting container while the skin and core are collected separately. The operator can adjust the depth of the cut to leave more or less flesh on each wedge.
The cutter is built as a single block with a stainless-steel blade assembly and a cast-aluminium body. The crank handle is plastic for a comfortable grip. The 320 mm length gives enough reach to process large apples without crowding the blade, while the 100 mm width keeps the footprint small on a busy worktop. The 140 mm height allows the wedges to fall clear into a standard gastronorm container placed underneath.
Cleaning is straightforward: the blade assembly lifts off for washing, and the aluminium body can be wiped down between batches. No lubrication is needed, so the unit stays food-safe throughout service.
The Stalgast 331010 is a universal model that fits most commercial kitchen set-ups where apples are prepared in volume.
