Professional kitchens handling allergenic ingredients need storage that seals food away from airborne particles and accidental contact. These containers use an airtight polypropylene body and a secure lid to create a barrier that keeps allergens inside and contaminants outside. The seal prevents cross-contamination when containers are stacked or moved, while the rigid walls protect against knocks that could breach a softer material.
Food is loaded directly into the container, the lid pressed down until it clicks into place, and the permanent allergen label filled in with the specific ingredient. Once sealed, the container can be refrigerated, frozen or stored on a shelf without risk of spillage or odour transfer. The clear polypropylene lets staff see contents without opening the lid, reducing unnecessary handling and exposure.
The container is made from anti-allergic polypropylene, a material that does not absorb food residues or harbour bacteria. The lid and body are a single colour-coded unit to prevent mix-ups between allergenic and non-allergenic storage. A raised lip on the lid allows stable stacking, and the flat base sits level on worktops or refrigerator shelves.
The 325 mm length and 176 mm width match the gastronorm 1/3 size, fitting standard kitchen racks and trolleys. The 150 mm height holds 6 litres, enough for individual portions or small batches of allergenic ingredients. The footprint and volume suit refrigerators, blast chillers and dry storage areas where space is organised to gastronorm dimensions.
Cleaning follows the same routine as other polypropylene containers: wash in hot water with detergent, rinse and air-dry. The material withstands repeated washing without warping or losing its seal, and the permanent label remains legible through multiple cycles.
These containers are supplied as individual units in the GN 1/3 size.
