Airtight food containers create a sealed environment that slows oxidation and moisture loss, keeping ingredients fresher for longer. The lid presses down to form a continuous barrier against air, while the double-lip design increases the contact area so the seal stays tight even when the container is stacked or moved. A small channel in the lid allows a controlled release of excess air, reducing the oxygen that reaches the food and further extending its shelf life without manual intervention.

To use, fill the container with prepared ingredients or leftovers, then press the lid firmly until it clicks into place. The integrated tab on the lid gives a secure grip for quick opening, even with wet or greasy hands. Once sealed, the container can be stacked with others of the same GastroNorm size, saving space in refrigerators, cupboards or on worktops. Colour-coded clips attach to the lid for instant identification of contents, while the IML traceability label remains legible through repeated washing and handling.

The container is moulded in food-safe plastic, chosen for its durability and resistance to stains and odours. The 354 × 325 × 150 mm footprint matches the GN 2/3 standard, fitting standardised racks, trolleys and storage units across professional kitchens. A 14 litre volume holds bulk ingredients or batch-prepared dishes without overfilling, while the 150 mm height allows easy access with serving utensils.

Cleaning follows from the smooth, non-porous surfaces: wash in hot water with standard kitchen detergent, rinse and air-dry. The lid and container are dishwasher-safe, and the airtight seal remains effective after repeated cycles. Colour-clips can be removed for separate cleaning or replacement.
