8 GN 2/1 or 16 GN1/1
A mobile rack for Gastronorm trays keeps hot or cold plated food organised between the pass and the service counter. The trolley rolls on swivel castors, letting staff move a full load without lifting. C-shaped guides hold each tray securely at the edges, preventing spills when the unit is wheeled over thresholds or uneven floors. The trolley is built as a stainless-steel frame with horizontal rails spaced for standard GN sizes. Trays slide in from the front and rest on the rails; there are no shelves to remove, so loading and unloading are quick. Four non-marking bumpers protect walls and door frames from scuffs, while the castors allow the trolley to pivot in tight spaces. To use the trolley, slide each GN tray into the guides until it rests against the back stop. The unit holds eight full-size GN2/1 trays or sixteen half-size GN1/1 trays. When the load is complete, push the trolley to the service point; the swivel castors let it turn corners without lifting. If the trolley is to be left stationary on a slope, two of the castors can be ordered with brakes to hold it in place. The frame is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. The C-shaped guides are formed from the same material, giving a smooth surface that does not snag tray edges. Four non-marking bumpers are fitted at the corners, and the castors are mounted on swivel plates for full manoeuvrability. The overall dimensions of 727 mm wide, 657 mm deep and 894 mm high give a footprint that fits through standard kitchen doorways and alongside worktops. The 20 kg weight keeps the trolley light enough to move when fully loaded, while the stainless-steel construction ensures it withstands daily use in a busy kitchen. Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the stainless-steel frame and guides with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The castors can be cleaned with a brush to remove debris that might impede movement. The welded stainless-steel frame slides straight from its crate onto the kitchen floor without tools or bolts. An optional kit adds brakes to two of the castors, allowing the trolley to be locked in place on sloping floors or when stationary service is needed. The trolley is classified as a mobile storage unit for Gastronorm trays and is listed in the ROCAM catering-equipment catalogue under trolleys and racks.
